Once you complete the set, you aim for additional items that affect the same skill or generally improve your character. Sets have some ridiculous modificators to damage of some skills, like "Skill X now deals 10000% more damage". Your goal is to complete full set of character specific gear. In current game version there are two types of endgame gear: Top players manage to complete GR150, for novice players - it's good to aim into GR90-100. If you want to play endgame, you will probably want to build your character being able to complete high levels of Greater Rifts. You can complete the game with any items. Just get it to level 50 before you augment to knock out that last task for the season. If you just want to play main story, don't bother looking for the best gear. Doesn't really matter that much if you're really only doing it to finish the task. Level it and use it to augment whatever piece you want. So I'd say just use any "extra" legendary you don't use in your build. Of course you only need ONE to finish off that task for the Season. You can then run GRs to level up all of those duplicates to augment your gear pieces. Now you'll have several of the same gem in your inventory. Then you can pick them all up (don't forget to do this before leaving/quitting the game or you'll lose them all). Rinse and repeat to get as many duplicates of the gem. Now you have 2 of the same gem on the ground in town. Go back to town and drop that new one on the ground as well. Then when you run another GR you'll get that gem as a reward after killing the rift guardian. ![]() Since it's on the ground in town it will seem to the game like you don't own that gem. You can throw that gem on the ground in town (remove it from your stash and inventory). ![]() So level up that legendary gem and use it to augment. You have legendary gems that you aren't using for your current build (and probably never will use).
